monitor displaying close captions

Closed captioning (CC) is the processes of displaying text on a television, video screen, or other visual display to provide additional or interpretive information. CC is typically used as a transcription of the audio portion of a program as it occurs (either verbatim or in edited form).

OET provides free captioning services for instructor-created videos. This service takes approximately 2-3 weeks. To request captioning, please email and provide the following information:

1. Course Title/# (e.g., CAS 101)

2. Desired Due Date (this service takes about 2-3 weeks turnaround time, depending on workload)

3. Share the videos via Dropbox with OET

4. Scripts, if available
